The Berkley Fire and Rescue Department asks residents to keep the community safe by shoveling snow away from fire hydrants. Residents can help by clearing a path from the street to the hydrant, with a three foot radius shoveled around the fire hydrant. When responding to an emergency, the extra minutes it takes firefighters to shovel snow can make a life-changing difference. Together, we can all do our part to help protect each other.
